3 Pistes Cycle 2016 entry and other stuff

The date for the 3 Pistes Cycle 2016 is Sunday 29th May. It’s a bank holiday weekend. We have big plans for a full weekend of cycling events, so get those winter training miles done, keep the whole weekend free and make a family holiday out of it.

BBC Adventure Show will be broadcast in November

Last weekend along we teamed up with Lowther Hills Ski Club to hold a new sportive in the Scottish Borders. Three distances (100miles, 100km and 55km) finished on the highest piece of tarmac in Scotland, on normally closed off private road up to the Radar station. The final climb of Mennock Pass onto the Radar road makes this the 2nd tallest climb in Scotland.

Snowball Sportive mountain top finish at the top of Lowther Hill above Wanlockhead.

100mile, 100km and 55km options all featured the fast descent of Dalveen Pass.

Lowther Hills Snowball Sportive 100 mile route took riders up the Wall of Talla. It says 20% but there is a 6 pedal turn section of 25%.

After 7 hours in the saddle it’s a job well done.
