The 3 Pistes Team have spent the past couple of days on the route checking everything out. You will be delighted to know that the tarmac is in excellent condition. Perth and Kinross Council have spent the past week resurfacing the Moulin Moor Rd, Pitlochry to the A93. It is looking fab… yes there is currently a lot of loose chippings, but 10 days of traffic should spread them off the road. BUT BE CAREFUL IF IT HASN’T.

Up at The Lecht, the Glencoe and Nevis Range teams want a bit of the 3 Pistes Cycle Sportive action.
This morning was spent getting to know the new operators at CairnGorm. At the end we’ll have the same big sound system pumping out the Northern Soul classics for you and big bowls of pasta to chomp on. With over 1100 cyclists they’ve even said that they will fill in the pot holes at the entrance to the car park.

The pot holes at entrance of CairnGorm’s Coire Cas car park. They will be filling them in this week.
The finish line set up will be similar to last year’s. Next weekend’s weather forecast isn’t looking great, so this year you will get your pasta inside the warmth of the base station at ski hire.

The Finish Line. Your friends and family will be able to sit out on the Storehouse balcony and have lunch whilst watching you gracefully climb up to the finish.
So… the all important weather forecasts.
The more experienced of you won’t be caring about the rain. Worse than gradients, the main battle cyclists face is against the wind. The astute amonst you will have noticed that all forecasts predict a 10mph South Westerly, otherwise known as a TAILWIND ALL THE WAY TO NETHY BRIDGE
Full rider notes and better weather forecasts will be published early next week.
