Many of you have been asking for details on what will be at the food stops. The two main stops are Glenshee (48km) and The Lecht  (103km) Ski Areas. At both sites you will be supplied with:

  • Bananas courtesy of Fyffes
  • High5 Gels & Powder
  • Soreen Malt Loaf
  • A selection of confectionery
  • Lots of water

Also at these stops

  • First Aid cover
  • Mechanical cover
  • Toilets
  • Public Telephone
  • Cafe – perfect for coffee & cake

Additional stops with limited supplies will be as follows.

Braemar (65km) Blanellan Rd Car Park

  • Public Toilets
  • Bananas
  • Powder
  • Water (tap)

Note: Braemar’s petrol station & shop does not open until 10am on a Sunday.

Gairnsheil Brig – NO FACILITIES

Originally we planned to have a water stop / toilet here, however there is not sufficient 3G or radio coverage for our team and the public telephone is no longer working, so cross your legs until…

Corgarff Tearoom (97km)

The lovely people of Goodbrand & Ross are allowing you to use their facilities for a toilet stop.

Normally they charge for use of the toilets, but not today. They’re gambling that about 10% of you walk in and see their lovely selection of cakes, then decide to stay with them until the broom wagon comes to sweep you up.

The Lecht (103km) see above

Tomintoul (116km)

  • Public Toilets
  • Water
  • Shop
  • Cafe

Nethy Bridge Hotel (137km)

  • Bananas courtesy of Fyffes
  • High5 Gels & Powder
  • Soreen Malt Loaf
  • A selection of confectionery
  • Lots of water

Also

  • Mechanical cover
  • Toilets
  • Public Telephone
  • Shop (across bridge)
  • Cafe
  • Pub 😉

Additional recommended stops en route:

Bridge of Brown Tearooms  (121km) – 1/4 of the way up the 18%. Opens at 10am closes 5pm. Yummy yummy grub.
